It's a global company that provides extensive business and learning platform for the staff. It enjoys a brand name that is good on the resume

Dislikes

1) Does not believe in keeping abreast with latest technology. It is evident from the lack / delayed investment in tools, which its competitors are already having it to create a market edge 2) Management does not appear accountable or is empowered to take decision 3) The internal audit team is down-right rude and uses unprofessionallanguage when communicating with the staff. The Head of Internal Audit, even though is highly experienced and knowledgeable, has a foul attitude and arrogance and shouts at his staff in a condescending manner. If anyone tries to reason with him, the only way he responds is by shouting and using abusive language to make people understand. He keeps on telling that there are no stupid questions and berates anyone who even asks questions 4) Similar to point 3, there is a culture whereby employees are allowed to ask questions and then made to feel inferior when they have it clarified the second time...Read More

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
