Worst
Hi,
Recently I moved to another organisation, and the entire work environment is too different from what I had expected. I need to work under someone who is right in front of us and does scolding so much, and it was completely new to me.
Even the team is saying to be careful with him, as few people recently moved out of the company due to him, and here I joined a few months ago and heard more stories about my top management.
I don't know how to manage here as of now; I just want to leave this company ASAP.
It will create a bad impression on me during HR.

Toxic bosses are a valid reason to leave, don’t feel guilty.

Can you document specific incidents? It might help in exit interviews or HR discussions.

If it’s unbearable, prioritize your mental health over the “bad impression” concern.

Ah yes, the ‘angry GM’ experience. Welcome to the corporate trauma club. First rule: Don’t take it personally. Second rule: GTF* when you can.

If even the PR team is warning you, bro… that’s your sign to run. The dude must be a walking red flag.

Lemme guess.....this guy thinks ‘yelling = leadership’? Classic case of insecure middle management.

You’re just a few months in? Start applying now. You don’t owe them a ‘good impression’......protect your mental health first.

If people are actively leaving because of one guy, why does the company keep him? Oh wait....because ‘performance > culture’ nonsense.

Why is it so hard for people our age (Gen Z) to get jobs?
It's not just me. My friends who are trying to find work keep getting rejected super easily. And the ones who actually got hired sometimes lost their jobs after just a few months. Plus, the pay they're offering is way less than we thought it would be.
It feels like companies don't even want to hire us, like we're not good enough workers. But everything costs more these days, so it's hard to live if we can't get a job or don't get paid much.

Thrown out of the office
I recently resigned from my current company after working there for over 3 years. They countered with a 70% hike, which was quite generous, but I had already received better offers with over a 100% hike, so I respectfully declined. Unfortunately, that didn’t go down well.
They asked me to leave the same day I submitted my resignation, confiscated my laptop and revoked email access immediately. I wasn’t even given a chance to say goodbye to anyone—it all happened so abruptly, it was genuinely shocking.
Now, even though I’m no longer working or contributing, they still expect me to serve the full 60-day notice. I’m trying to negotiate that, because otherwise I’ll just be sitting at home for the next 30 days without work or pay.
It’s been a lot to process. I can’t help but wonder—does this happen to others too, or is it just me? Feeling pretty messed up right now.

PIP during notice period
Hello, I have 38 days of notice period remaining and on last Friday I was informed by my lead that he is pressured to put me into PIP as I'm already leaving the organization to save the people in my project. PIP is not initiated yet. Should I challenge it? because I have been good performer during the service and I do have all the positive feedback on workday except the one I got on Friday. Is it worth to challenge it? Will PIP tag be an issue for future rehire? Please advice.
