I've been hearing some pretty bad things about Adobe lately. Apparently, they're laying off a bunch of people quietly, and the pressure there is through the roof. It's like they're trying to turn it into another Infosys, and it's draining everyone. Has anyone else heard anything about these companies?

Which companies are sinking real fast?

Every office has one unspoken conflict…

No, not deadlines.
Not promotions.
Not even stolen tiffins.

We’re talking about the real war:
THE AIR CONDITIONER.

In our office, it’s a daily drama.

On one side:
The “Antarctica Squad” — people who want the A/C at 16°C and dress like they’re hiking Everest.

On the other:
The “Sun Lovers” — begging for warmth, wearing shawls like they’re in Shimla.

And then…
There’s me.
The neutral party.
The one just trying to survive — not sweat, not shiver, just exist.

Every 30 minutes:

Someone lowers the temp.

Someone raises it.

Someone secretly switches off the A/C.

Maintenance gets called.

A meeting is held.

One colleague even brought their own fan. Another carries a blanket. I’m thinking of installing a thermometer on my desk.

At this point, the A/C remote has more office politics than our team meetings.

Lesson:
Forget team bonding activities.
If we can survive the A/C wars together, we’re already family. ❄️🔥

i was recently working at a Bangalore startup where my JD said “Full-Stack Developer,”

 but within a month I was also writing LinkedIn content, fixing the office router, and once even booked hotel rooms for a team offsite I wasn’t invited to. along with my job i was also being used as a PA , i mean there are limits to chaos 
i have realized this now that in startups, your job title is just a suggestion.

The pay feels illegally low. Companies are doing zero to negligible original work. They think software engineering is something where you hire people who work 20 hours a day for 20k salary. I recently spoke to a company called bluebuck research located in dingy Kaikhali. That company had the audacity to tell me since I have been preparing for UPSC, I might not be able to answer his dumb Python questions when I have a GSOC internship and a NIT degree. Like shove your 30k jobs up your whatever. If you cannot interview, politely reject- don’t gauge candidates from gaps when people in US without having degrees are in programming jobs. 0 sense. 

Plus what is this illegally low pay to everyone and not just me? Has labour become that damn cheap? It is reprehensible.

It feels like everywhere you look, there's a new headline about Al taking over jobs and changing everything as we know it. It's easy to feel a bit overwhelmed, when you hear all that talk. Al isn't just about job losses; it's about job evolution and creation too! Throughout history, new technologies have always shifted the job market, and while some roles change or get obsolete, many new and exciting opportunities emerge.
