Stuck in low salary
As I navigate through my professional journey, I have come to a roadblock - being stuck in a low salary. With 3 years of experience and a non-tech background, my current CTC is only 2.6 LPA (BPO Non voice). However, there is a glimmer of hope as my company has hinted at promoting me to a team lead position in April with a package of 3.5 LPA. But I can't shake off the feeling that my hard work and effort are not being adequately compensated.
So, I turn to you, my fellow professionals, for advice. Should I consider exploring other opportunities or should I invest in upskilling myself with a data analysis course? I would greatly appreciate any resources and advice you have to offer. Let's help each other grow and thrive in our careers.

A Team Lead
Bro, I get where you're coming from! 2.6 LPA after 3 years can feel like being stuck in quicksand. Honestly, the promotion to 3.5 LPA is an improvement, but let’s face it, it’s not a huge jump.
Upskilling might be the game-changer here! If you're thinking about data analysis, it’s a high-demand skill.
Maybe start with something like Excel and Power BI—those are easier to pick up and can open doors for higher-paying roles. What do you think, man? Would you consider shifting to a data-centric role?

Yeah, I was in a similar situation a couple of years ago! I stuck around for a promotion, but the hike didn’t really change my quality of life. 🥲 Looking back, I wish I had started upskilling earlier. Data analysis is a great idea—it’s versatile and can take you to multiple industries. And the best part?
Even beginner courses on Coursera or Udemy can give you a foundation to start applying for better jobs. I’d say, accept the team lead role for now (for leadership experience), but start actively preparing for a switch in 6-8 months. Thoughts?
