Salary expectations for SSE 6 YOE
As the title suggests, what are the current market expectations for senior software engineers with 6 YOE in product based and service based companies?
Stack: Java, Spring boot, Kafka, Microservices, Angular, Git
TC: 20 LPA
The market seems to be on a hiring freeze, but I do find hiring happening in some companies, so any idea about current market and the expectations are welcome.

A Team Lead
Since you're working with technologies like Kafka and Microservices, you’re in a niche that's still in demand. Product-based companies like to offer competitive salaries (25-30 LPA), while service-based may be a bit lower (~20-22 LPA), but it’s good to explore your options

I’d say your current TC of 20 LPA is reasonable, but with your experience, you can definitely aim for higher in product-based companies, especially if you’re targeting high-growth sectors like fintech or SaaS.

20 LPA sounds like a solid base, but with your experience, you could aim for a higher package in some companies, especially in product-based firms like Amazon or Flipkart, where 25-30 LPA is more common for SSE roles.

What would be a fair CTC for a software developer with 4 years and 4 months of experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and intermediate skills in Angular? Backstabbing Colleague
So, there’s this colleague who seems to be going behind my back. They’re emailing the line manager and complaining about everything I do, decisions, situations, even my work. It feels like they’re keeping tabs on me just to criticize. What’s the best way to deal with someone like this? Should I confront them or just keep doing my thing?

The ever leading topic of notice period
I am working currently as a team lead for hcl and since idiotically I didn't switch any companies from start 2019 till now, I have a measly ctc of 4.3 lpa.I got an offer accepting 8lpa , but they are demanding to join in 15 days. And hcltech, being the company it is, is having 90 days notice period, negotiable to 60 days only.Initial negotiation with my current manager and the new company hr didn't go over that well, I am in a bind now.Any suggestions?
