My Husband’s Job Is Breaking Him🥲
I'm newly married, and after the wedding, I went on a vacation with my husband. He works at a very well-known company, as a specialist. Unfortunately, during most of our vacation, he was working on his laptop. I even overheard a conversation with his manager, who spoke to him very rudely even though he was on holiday leave. She expected him to work and her behavior was completely inappropriate. Every time we go for a bike ride or spend time together, all he talks about is his toxic work culture, his boss, the constant workload, and how little he’s paid. By nature, he’s a soft-hearted, gentle guy, and I can clearly see that his manager is taking advantage of that. He feels trapped in the job because he doesn’t think I’ll be able to support him financially on my own. Please help me understand how to deal with this situation. I really want to help him.🙏

👀 Is HR really on the employee’s side?
We’ve all heard it: “You can always talk to HR. We’re here for you.” But let’s be honest — how many of us actually believe that? When things get messy — manager issues, mental health struggles, burnout, unfair treatment — most people I know hesitate to speak up. Not because they don’t want to, but because deep down, they feel HR will play it safe… not fair. I’ve seen folks muster the courage to open up, only to be told to “adjust” or “take it offline.” Some even got labeled as “difficult” after raising valid concerns. And in the end, nothing changed — except their trust. Human Resource? Or should we say Highly Rehearsed? 😬 It makes you wonder: Is HR there to help the employee, or protect the company? Genuinely curious — have you ever felt supported by HR during a tough time at work? Or did it feel safer to just stay quiet?

Need help in negotiation
My current in-hand is 80k/m (9.5 LPA) in a product based company. Got an offer of 15 LPA (13.5 LPA fixed) from Wipro in Bengaluru. However, I currently stay at home and the office is very close. so everything is saved. What should I do? Should I negotiate with wipro for a higher salary (how much) or should I ask for a hike at my current organisation or should I keep on looking for other opportunities? Info: role is ML engineer 3 YOE in current organisation. The total YOE is 6 years.
