Is My Salary Competitive for My Role and Experience?

Hello everyone, I'm currently working as an Assistant Officer at Paper manufacturing company., where I handle MIS, reporting, and dashboards. I have 3 years of experience in MIS and Business Analytics, along with strong skills in advanced Excel, CRM, Power BI, and SAP.I have MBA in Marketing and have 1.5 years of experience as a Sales Coordinator. Given my background and current responsibilities, I'm curious if my salary is fair and competitive within the industry. My in hand salary is 24k. Thanks in advance!

A salary of 24k in-hand might seem low for someone with your experience and skill set, especially if you're in a metropolitan area

Based on your experience and skills, your salary of 24k seems to be on the lower side. To get a better understanding of industry standards, you can check out AmbitionBox's salary insights: https://www.ambitionbox.com/salaries

Salaries in the manufacturing sector are usually lower compared to industries like IT or Finance. I work as a Senior MIS Analyst in a manufacturing company, earning 51K with 6 years of experience. I switched from operations to data analytics a year ago because of my interest in the field. Now, I have an offer from a mid-sized e-commerce company as a Data Analyst, with a salary of 63K. When switching jobs, aim for a 30% to 45% salary increase. Start by negotiating for a 25% to 30% hike, then try to secure a second offer with a 40% to 45% increase. Switching jobs after a year is often a good strategy. Good luck!
