Career Advice Needed: Seeking Guidance on Career Growth
Hello! I graduated with a B.Com in 2023 and am currently pursuing an MBA in Marketing from IGNOU. Although I know that an MBA from IGNOU isn't as highly valued as from institutions like IIMs or Amity, I'm pursuing it for its affordability.
I have 2+ years of experience in Digital Marketing, but my current salary is ₹18,000/month, and there is slow growth. With family responsibilities, I need to earn ₹25,000-28,000/month to support my family.
Can anyone suggest suitable job positions I should apply for now and after completing my MBA? Any career advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

First off, don’t get discouraged by the value of your degree. An MBA from IGNOU can still provide solid knowledge and networking opportunities..

Have you thought about applying to mid-sized agencies or e-commerce companies? They tend to pay more and offer better growth opportunities.

[smoothapplepie](username) Agreed. Since you’re pursuing an MBA in Marketing, you can aim for roles like Marketing Executive or Business Development Executive after you graduate. These roles often come with a ₹25,000-₹30,000/month package, depending on the company.

[opinionatedonion](username) I don't have time to freelance. I work during the day, and after I get home from work after 8 pm, I study for my MBA and then read about digital marketing and AI.

To increase your salary to ₹25,000-28,000, you might want to look into roles like Social Media Manager, SEO Specialist, or Content Strategist. These positions are in demand and can pay better, especially if you have a solid portfolio.
