Hey everyone,

My wife and I are both fortunate enough to have remote jobs that let us work from anywhere. We're currently based in Bangalore, but we're dreaming of taking our work-life adventure to another country.

We're wondering if it's feasible to live comfortably in a foreign country with a combined monthly income of ₹5.5 lakh. After accounting for our EMIs and other fixed expenses, we're left with around ₹4 lakh per month.

So, the big question is: Can we make it work?

We're open to suggestions, advice, or personal experiences from anyone who's successfully made a similar move.

Day to Day Office

going above and beyond isn’t always acknowledged as expected. I completed a two-day costing task in a single day, thanks to the solid training from my past mentors. Yet, a simple “Ok, thanks” from a sales colleague felt underwhelming. It made me reflect on how often R&D efforts in costing and formulation go unnoticed by other departments. Still, I choose to see this as growth — every effort adds to my journey, whether it’s recognized or not. This dedication may open doors, either here or in future opportunities elsewhere.

6 months later:

Returns: 8–12%
Portfolio: ~₹1.9L

Even on ₹50k, if you stay disciplined, saving ₹5–10k/month is absolutely doable.
