I started working back in 2010, juggling two educational loans, a personal loan, a car loan, and a few loans to family members. It's been a tough ride, but yesterday, I paid off my last installment.

Today marks the first day of my debt-free life, and I couldn't be more excited!

Day to Day Office

Day by day i am getting more frustrated. I was hired as content Writer but now i am working on behalf of 3 people one content Writer + manager + e-commerce executive because executive above me left his job. 

So basically now i handle designers + writers their work sheets, tasks management, client emails, client changes, client calls and everything of content.  Though when asked for raise, ceo says its your job only you are not doing anything extra. 

I want to quit this so bad but financially i cant. And i am not even getting remote opportunities in content writing so i think i am doomed. This is dead end now.

I have the following offers and confused to choose one.

Exp: 6.8 Java backend dev

cognizant - 25 lpa (24 fixed)
Epam - 28 fixed
Citi - 30 fixed

If i ask epam with citi offer they will increase their offer, but my question is that worth negotiating with them? Please give you suggestions. My Last working day is 31 March 2025.

Salary Discussions, Hike & Promotions

I recently switched jobs with a 48% hike, and my current in-hand salary is ₹35K. But after joining, I realized a few important things that weren’t mentioned during the interview.

1. No Phones or Bags Allowed – We have to keep them in lockers, which I wasn’t informed about before joining.

2. Working Saturdays – HR said all Saturdays are working but assured that one Saturday off per month would be introduced soon. I can't see that happening anytime soon

3. Phone Policy Confusion – When I asked HR why this wasn’t discussed earlier, they said it’s only for two months and won’t be the case at the new location (which was discussed earlier). But some old employees say the same rule applies there too.

4. Leaves – We get 21 paid leaves a year.

I’m already thinking of switching. Would it be too soon to leave within 3 months, or should I stay for at least 6 months? Also, since I just got a good hike, how much can I ask for in my next job?

Hey folks!
I might receive an offer letter from a BLR-based company that expects me to relocate from Mumbai. They’re offering me 16.7 LPA (~3.8 years of work experience) for a Data Analyst position with many 
additional perks. 

Was wondering if someone could give me some figures to understand general expenses in BLR and then understand how much I should be saving.

Their office is in Whitefield so my accommodation would ideally be nearby or at a 20-30 mins distance.

Update: I received an offer for 18.05 LPA from them!
