I got a call from HR and I was informed that my profile was shortlisted for one of the openings at this company. She scheduled my interview and shared the interview details on my whatsapp. On interview day, she followed up, I assured her that I would be on time and appearing in this interview. I reached office on time, I was asked to fill some forms and I waited for around 1 hour. Then. I was told that the interviewer (“sir”) is not available that day and they would be rescheduling my interview in upcoming week. (I understand that there can be situations where interviewer is not available. After all he is also a human being). But, on the same day, I came to know that my application on job portal was marked as “not shortlisted” without any reason and without interview. If my profile was not matching to your requirements, why did you shortlist it and schedule interview? Or if my profile was matching to your requirements, why did you reject my application without interview? It clearly showed unprofessional behaviour.
