IMC stands for International Marketmakers Combination and is a privately-held company founded in Amsterdam in 1989 by two traders working on the open outcry floor of Europe’s first options exchange. Today we have offices in Amsterdam, Chicago, Sydney, New York, Hong Kong and Zug, and employ more than 450 people. IMC has two businesses, which operate independent of each other: Financial Markets and Asset Management. IMC Financial Markets is a leading market maker in exchange traded instruments active on over 100 exchanges, platforms and pools of liquidity across the world, and is a Designated Market Maker on the New York Stock Exchange. Our commercial success reflects our ability to develop strategies and technologies that enhance our competitive position and aid the efficiency and transparency of financial markets for all market participants.
