About the Role :

Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

- Drive technical discussions, decisions, and best practices within the team.

Architecture and Design :

- Contribute to the design and architecture of complex software systems.

- Collaborate with architects to create scalable and maintainable solutions.

Coding and Development :

- Write high-quality, maintainable code for complex features and systems.

- Lead by example in terms of coding standards, efficiency, and best practices.

Problem Solving :

- Tackle complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.

- Act as a go-to person for troubleshooting and debugging challenging issues.

Project Ownership :

- Take ownership of entire projects or significant components.

- Drive project planning, execution, and delivery.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical insights.

- Work closely with quality assurance (QA) teams to ensure robust testing practices.

Innovation and Research :

- Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.

- Introduce new technologies or methodologies that can improve development processes.

Scalability and Performance :

- Optimize software for scalability and performance.

- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and performance standards are met.

Continuous Improvement :

- Drive process improvements within the development team.

- Participate in and lead initiatives to enhance development workflows.

Communication :

- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Collaborate with other engineering teams to align efforts and share knowledge.

Documentation :

- Ensure comprehensive documentation of code, design decisions, and processes.

- Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and the broader organization.

Training and Onboarding :

- Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members.

- Share expertise and contribute to the professional growth of the team.

Required Skills :

- 4+ years of experience in backend development preferably in microservice environment.

- Good Understanding of Relational (MySQL), NoSQL(mongodb) and data stores.

- Strong problem-solving skills with good understanding of data structures and algorithms.

- Experience in using queuing infrastructure (Kafka/RBMQ) for scaling backend.

- Experience with using caches (Redis).

- Experience in test driven development.

- Basic knowledge in DevOps (AWS).

Preferred Skills :

Node.js, Java, Python.
