What you will do:
To work with Tanzu, essential skills include a strong understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals, containerization, cluster management, application lifecycle management, security best practices within Kubernetes.
Proficiency in deploying and managing Tanzu components like Tanzu Mission Control, and the ability to troubleshoot common issues within a Tanzu environment.
Need expertise in operating and managing Kubernetes clusters using VMware Tanzu tools and features.
Kubernetes security policies and configurations
Role-based access control (RBAC) within Tanzu
Manage & configure Kubernetes networking and storage
Security best practices for containerized applications
Understanding of load balancing in Tanzu Kubernetes Grid
Integration of NSX Advanced Load Balancer with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid.
Provide technical assistance with cloud infrastructure and services.
Monitor and maintain cloud systems to guarantee their availability and performance.
Work with the development and operations teams to optimize cloud solutions.
Assist with the deployment and setup of cloud resources.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud systems, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Leads in the creation of systems documentation
Provide technical and architectural leadership for the infrastructure Engineering teams and Operations roles
Automate the provisioning, deployment, scaling and monitoring of the platform
Maintain existing automation processes and expand test cases to support REST API testing
Help in root cause analysis of defects/issues and facilitate product release/roll-out
Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve problems
What you need to bring:
At least 2 years of proven experience as a Cloud Support Engineer or in a similar position. Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Kubernetes architecture and core concepts, Cluster deployment ,configuration and container orchestration and management. Strong understanding of cloud systems, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Experience with containerization and orchestration systems such as Docker and Kubernetes. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Deploying and managing Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) Understanding and utilizing Tanzu components like Tanzu Service Mesh Tanzu Mission Control usage for cluster lifecycle management VMware NSX Advanced Load BalancerTM Vmware sphere, NSX,Vsan Jenkins, Git ,Velero, Contour,cert-manager, Prometheus,Grafana, Fluentbit,Harbor Windows Server, Ubuntu, RHEL, Linux Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Advanced network troubleshooting skills in cloud environments. Familiarity with ITIL practices and frameworks. VMware Certified Professional - Tanzu for Kubernetes Operations (VCP-TKO) VMware Certified Specialist - vSphere with Tanzu Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate business judgment, decision making skills, negotiating skills, time-resource management, complex problem solving, in-depth product knowledge, creativity, teamwork, knowledge of quality processes, political astuteness and sensitivity in dealing with diverse cultures and ability to learn quickly. Experience in interacting/Supporting Level 1 Support teams and customers Must be a team player and show ability and willingness to motivate and support other engineers
