Head of Production (Stamping Line Automation)

Role & responsibilities :

• Lead Manufacturing Engineering efforts, including the development of workstations, jigs & fixtures, material storage, and line balancing.
• Establish Process-Driven Manufacturing Systems and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Provide clear leadership, vision, and inspiration to motivate staff towards achieving excellence.
• Drive implementation of Lean Manufacturing strategies and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Report regularly to top management on manufacturing performance with accurate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with internal teams on customer order planning and forecasting to meet shipment deadlines.
• Develop and track production plans to meet business requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure flawless project execution.
• Ensure production targets are met on time and at the required quality levels.
• Define roles, set goals, and manage performance to ensure high levels of productivity and creativity.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Proven experience of leading manufacturing function of a machine building

company.

• Thorough knowledge in manufacturing processes like fabrication, casting,

machining, injection moulding & surface treatment.

• Knowledge and experience of using ERP systems (MM and PP Modules or similar).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Detail Oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in planning and tracking production activities
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be strong team player with ability to work in a matrix organization structure
• Leadership - Good team builder and player. Ability to understand strengths and

weakness of the team and act appropriately. Motivate and build a strong internal

team.

• Ethics Strong value systems and act as a role model for team members to emulate.
• Exposure to working in a startup/MSME environment will be highly desirable.
