Job Description
- Design and develop robust, scalable ETL workflows and data integration solutions using Ab Initio tools such as GDE, Conduct>It, and Express>It.
- Create reusable frameworks for data processing and transformations.
- Optimize ETL processes to ensure high performance and scalability.
- Lead a team of Engineers, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to coding and design standards.
- Review code, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the quality of deliverables.
- Collaborate with architects and business analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Contribute to data modeling and architecture design for enterprise data systems.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the solutions meet business objectives.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and technical challenges.
- Identify and implement best practices for ETL development and data governance.
- Automate manual processes to improve efficiency.
- Mentor and guide junior Engineers on Ab Initio tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Education:
- Bachelor s or master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development, with 5+ years specifically using Ab Initio tools.
- Experience in designing and implementing complex ETL workflows and data pipelines.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Ab Initio tools (GDE, Conduct>It, Control Center, etc.).
- Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server).
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Exposure to data governance and metadata management.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization in Ab Initio workflows.
- Knowledge of Agile or DevOps practices.
