Ambulance Maintenance Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Scheduling:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule for all ambulances, including routine inspections, fluid checks, and component replacements.
• Track maintenance records and ensure timely completion of scheduled services.

• Repair Coordination:
• Respond to emergency repair requests, diagnosing issues and assigning technicians to address malfunctions promptly.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers for parts and repairs, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.

• Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure adherence to all local and state regulations regarding ambulance maintenance and safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections on ambulances, identifying and addressing potential hazards.

• Budget Management:
• Monitor maintenance costs, identify potential cost-saving measures, and manage the budget allocated for ambulance repairs.
• Track parts inventory and ensure proper ordering and stock management.

• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repair orders, inspection reports, and parts used.
• Generate reports on fleet performance, maintenance trends, and budget status to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of automotive mechanics, electrical systems, and specialized ambulance equipment, including life support systems.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues on ambulances.
• Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant ambulance maintenance regulations and safety standards.
• Communication Skills :Clear communication with technicians, dispatchers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely response to maintenance needs.

Education and Experience:

• Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some years of experience in automotive maintenance, with a focus on ambulance repair and maintenance highly desired.
