Job Description

Job Title : Institutional Sales - VP/Head

Location : Bengaluru


Education : Graduate / Postgraduate

Role Overview :

As the Institutional Sales - VP/Head, you will lead the institutional sales team and develop strong relationships with institutional clients such as banks, mutual funds, hedge funds, and other financial institutions. Your primary focus will be acquiring new clients, retaining existing relationships, and driving revenue growth through customized financial solutions and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition and Management:

- Identify, acquire, and manage relationships with institutional clients to achieve sales and revenue targets.

- Work closely with clients to understand their financial goals, risk appetite, and investment strategies.

Team Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing institutional sales team.

- Set and monitor team performance targets to align with organizational goals.

Market Intelligence:

- Stay informed about financial markets, economic trends, and institutional investment regulatory changes.

- Provide clients with insights and recommendations tailored to their portfolios.

Revenue Generation:

- Drive revenue growth by offering innovative financial solutions and cross-selling products.

- Collaborate with trading desks and research teams to meet client needs effectively.

Strategic Planning:

- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the institutional client base.

- Align sales efforts with organizational priorities and market opportunities.

Requirements:

- 10+ years of experience in institutional sales, preferably within equity or broking.

- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and institutional client needs.

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive team performance.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements in the BFSI sector.
