We are hiring a Head of Network & Data Center Operations to lead, manage, and optimize our IT infrastructure, networking, security, and disaster recovery strategies.

This role is critical in establishing robust network architecture, ensuring 24/7 uptime, maintaining security compliance, and optimizing data center operations.

Role Overview

As the Head of Network & Data Center Operations, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing high-performance, secure, and scalable network & data center infrastructure. You will oversee the entire IT infrastructure across multiple global locations, including networking, servers, virtualization, security, storage, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.

You will also collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, and IT teams to ensure seamless IT operations, security compliance, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Center Strategy & Operations

• Architect, deploy, and manage high-availability on-premises data centers.
• Ensure scalability, redundancy, and failover mechanisms for global operations.
• Define and enforce IT governance policies, standards, and operational procedures.
• Optimize hardware, storage, power, and cooling for maximum efficiency.

2. Network Architecture & Security

• Design and manage enterprise-grade, multi-location network architecture.
• Ensure high-speed, low-latency connectivity between global data centers.
• Deploy and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and security perimeters.
• Enforce Zero Trust Security principles across networking and IT infrastructure.
• Optimize WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and VLAN segmentation for performance and security.

3. IT Infrastructure & Server Management

• Lead the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of servers, VMs, Kubernetes clusters, and databases.
• Oversee enterprise-wide storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and backup strategies.
• Manage hypervisor platforms (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V) and bare-metal servers.
• Ensure 24/7 uptime, performance optimization, and proactive incident response.

4. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

• Develop and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
• Ensure regular backups, failover testing, and recovery strategies for mission-critical systems.
• Conduct DR drills and cybersecurity resilience testing.

5. Compliance & Security Governance

• Enforce compliance with ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR, and internal security frameworks.
• Ensure role-based access control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and identity management.
• Monitor data center security posture, addressing vulnerabilities and threats proactively.

6. Team Leadership & Vendor Management

• Lead and mentor network engineers, system administrators, and IT security teams.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, DevOps, and IT teams for infrastructure security and optimization.
• Manage vendor relationships for hardware, networking, and security solutions.
• Oversee procurement, licensing, and budgeting for IT infrastructure projects.

Key Skills & Technologies

Must-Have:

• Enterprise Networking (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto) Routing, Switching, VLANs, SD-WAN
• Firewall & Security (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, SonicWall) – IDS/IPS, VPN, Zero Trust
• Hypervisors & Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, KVM)
• Data Center Infrastructure (Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS, Nutanix, SAN/NAS)
• Cloud & On-Prem Hybrid Integration
• Disaster Recovery & High Availability Solutions
• Identity & Access Management (LDAP, Active Directory, SSO, MFA, PAM)

Good-to-Have:

• Experience with on-prem Kubernetes cluster networking & security
• Familiarity with OpenStack, Terraform, and automation tools
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK, Graylog) for network security monitoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or a related field.
• 12-18 years of experience in IT infrastructure, data center, and enterprise networking.
• Proven expertise in managing global data center operations and enterprise networks.
• Experience in securing and optimizing IT infrastructure for performance, scalability, and security.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Industry certifications preferred: CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, VCP, AWS/Azure Network Specialization.
