About YRGCARE
Established in 1993, YRGCARE is a premier non-government organization providing comprehensive HIV services in India with the objective to provide prevention, care, support and treatment services for people living with HIV/AIDS, to prevent new infections, and to ensure that patients and their families are treated with dignity.
YRGCARE is a sub recipient to the primary recipient HLFPPT funded by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS,
Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM), for the care and support programme will be known
as Care and Support Centre 2.0. (CSC 2.0) for People Living with HIV across India.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical performance of the Care and Support Centres component through the towards delivery of HIV prevention- treatment care cascade services
- Actively participate in development /review of support supervision templates, technical visit plans and tool development for the project. Provide training and help the team in adherence to the tools
- Proactively intervene to resolve operational issues affecting the prison intervention and in situations which may indicate non-adherence to prison protocols, suggesting appropriate action and remedy
- Represent at relevant meetings, present for the project/organisation at state and national meetings as necessary.
- Liaise directly with relevant stakeholders including the SACS, prison department and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support in implementation of the project advocacy and communication plans; write communications for both internal and external audiences.
- Prepare project documentation, updates and reports and take meeting notes as necessary.
- Support in the writing of papers to enable decision-making by the Project Director as and when required.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is kept up to date, cross-referenced and distributed when necessary.
- Oversee the ME initiatives of the prison project including monitoring data quality, tracking the progress of activities, and informing staff capacity building etc.
- Conduct routine team reviews, field visits to the facilities to ensure progress and quality of project activity implementation.
- Ensure implementation, consistent with the GFATM PR guidelines, protocols, information and reporting systems and engage in the national technical groups.
Requirements
Qualifications and Competencies required
- Master s degree in any social sciences / public health or another related field
- Familiarity and experience in HIV/AIDS prevention or any other public health issues of government-funded project.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in the area with knowledge and skills in technical assistance strategy formulation for public health programs
- Ability to provide leadership, communicate effectively, and promote a team approach to enhance staff commitment to the program s success.
- Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills in English and Hindi
