The Programme Officer (Treatment) in collaboration with MDACS and JHU will provide supportive supervision and mentoring to all treatment. Programme officer (Treatment) will be reporting to State Manager in Maharashtra and Treatment Lead in Delhi of the ACCELERATE Project. Works closely with the MDACS and other team members in the district.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducting regular field visits to ART centres and other associated facilities to provide supportive supervision.
To ensure implementation of CST (Care, Support and treatment) services as per prescribed operational guidelines at sites visited.
To identify the probable gaps in patient care affecting quality of services provided at selected sites.
To coordinate and support ART centers for planning of visits and actual visits regarding the activity and to share the findings and ensure that appropriate support is provided accordingly.
To propose interventions to improve retention, adherence and viral load suppression at selected sites and support implementation of these intervention in coordination with MDACS.
To ensure implementation of newer models of service delivery including ADM, mortality assessment and improvement in HIV-TB outcomes.
To assess and take measure to strengthen linkages and coordination of the ART centres with associated facilities/programme like ICTC, CSC, NTEP, private sector, CoE.
To interact and coordinate with Head of Institute, Nodal officer, SACS and all other stakeholders of concerned ART centres in context of the activity.
To prepare and submit detailed reports after visits in designated format within specified time to MDACS and JHU.
Participate in capacity building, consultation and review meetings to provide inputs and feedback.
Assist in activities of data disaggregation and compilation; analysis and descriptive report on the data set.
To participate and provide Clinical and technical inputs in CMEs and other capacity building exercise among the Private Sector Engagement programs.
Participate in e-SACEP sessions and offer clinical and technical inputs.
Any other work assigned by supervisor within ambit of the project ACCELERATE.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
M.B.B.S or MPH with at least 3 years of experience in working with CST services under NACP.
Experience in leading facility-based program monitoring and evaluation activities will be preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication, liaison and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, with a strong ability and drive to lead project activities independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel for appx 20 days a month. (Travel and logistic support will be provided under project)
