Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY The role holder is responsible for assisting Section Leader/Team Leader in originating leads for building up a liability book and increasing wallet in the existing portfolio for the bank mainly in Ecommerce, Start-ups, Fintech and IT/ITES segments viz. Current Accounts, Nodal Accounts, Escrow Accounts, FD's, Trust Accounts, TASC etc.

Core Responsibilities

  • Acquire new client relationships and grow & maintain high quality, profitable and broad based relationships with the senior management of the existing client base
  • Imbibe YBL polices, systems, processes and regulatory framework as applicable to the job.
  • Work under guidance from the reporting authority to analyze the banking needs of existing /target customers.
  • Be adept at financial analysis in context of the banking product being sold to the customer.
  • Understand the product offering from YBL and under superiors guidance cross sell the entire suite of banking products.
  • To maintain high quality standards of documentation, client communication, process compliance, ongoing basis with product partners /OSD /Risk Management and other Relationship management groups
  • Achieve Bank’s objective in terms of revenue, liability book increment, CMS and DB products cross sell, FDI etc. as per agreed budgets/targets.
  • Maintain accurate information regarding the liability portfolio, P&L, cross sell as part of the CRM/portfolio management
  • The primary focus will be on e-Commerce, Fintech, Gaming, IT & ITES space

Self-Management Responsibilities

  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are monitored and achieved during the course of the year.
  • Takes ownership of his/her own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the reporting manager and working towards bridging the gaps through various means which go beyond just training.
  • Understands the competencies relevant to his/her role, and works towards displaying as well as developing these effectively.
  • Keeps abreast of relevant professional/industry developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional networks.

Risk and Internal Control Responsibilities

  • Follows risk policy and processes to mitigate the operational, regulatory, financial, informational, reputational and audit risks as instructed by departmental manager.
  • Executes the established internal control systems and compiles the relevant information for departmental audits, as necessary.


KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEKNOWLEDGE

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • Master's degree in Finance is preferred

Language Skills

  • Written and spoken English is essential
  • Knowledge of local language in regional markets is beneficial

Years of Experience

  • A minimum of 0-6 years of relevant experience with at least 0-3 years in a similar role

Nature of Experience

  • Prior experience in BFSI sector/General industry in Relationship manager's role or prior experience as Credit Analyst in financial services industry with a zeal for relationship management
  • The candidate should be able to independently handle client relationships and close deals with minimal guidance.
  • Candidates with knowledge of latest payment systems & developments in fintech space are preferred
  • Candidates should have experience of working in a target oriented environment with 4-8 years of experience
