Regional Collection Manager- Credit cards

ROLE SUMMARY

The key responsibility of a Regional Collection Leader is to ensure achievement of key portfolio indicators across all locations/ states in his region. RCM is also responsible for ensuring collection through fair practices across locations, buckets. RCM to ensure achievement of deliverables across all portfolio indicators like 30+, 90+, GCL, NCL & Recoveries for the region. Review/ recommendation of other functions to open new geographies to be done post necessary evaluation of the cross-product portfolio indicators, key portfolio indicators of other banks etc. Man power planning, preempting infrastructure requirements basis portfolio growth to be identified & raised for Senior management approval & necessary deployment. Ensuring all the bank officers @ the region are aware about the process/ performance related parameters & are complaint to all the internal & external compliance & regulatory mandates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic/ Managerial Responsibilities

• Man power planning to ensure all geographies with adequate portfolio size are manned with bank staff.
• Necessary infrastructure wrt vendor presence, field workforce to be ascertained prior to allocation of portfolio.
• Field workforce to be DRA Certified & collection managers/ vendors to strictly work within the regulatory workforce
• Regular feedback to Policy, Credit & Underwriting on delinquency trend in newly opened markets

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure achievement of targets across all key indicators like flow rates, 30+, 90+, NCL & Recoveries
• Identify & highlight accounts which have specific trends wrt frauds, incorrect sourcing & recommend necessary policy corrections.
• Ensure 100% process adherence to all process norms laid down by the bank.
• Recommend process related changes to ensure water tight” workflow wrt compliance of regulatory mandates.
• Ensure necessary investigation of complaints received across channels are shared post necessary review to prevent any reputational/ financial loss for the Bank.
• Highlight any abnormality wrt process gap/ process lapse to Senior Management

People Management or Self-Management Responsibilities

• Monitor process adherence across locations & achievement of key portfolio parameters across locations.
• Provide understanding on score card parameters wrt weightage & performance to center managers/ YBL team
• Ensure timely hiring of quality resources on YBL roles to effectively manage YBL portfolio
• Ensure there is no financial/ non-financial exchange with any third party (customer/ agency resources etc) by any of YBL Staff

Risk and Internal Control Responsibilities

• Conduct surprise audit on vendor premise
• Ensure all customer issues involving judicial bodies are highlighted to all internal stake holders (Legal/Compliance)
• Ensure rightful representation of the Bank in any customer/ third party interaction

Purpose of Interaction

Functional (Within Risk Management):

• Regular meetings with Regional Credit/ Underwriting/ FRM Heads to ensure structured exchange of credit feedback/ learnings & ensure modifications in the existing sourcing norms
• Regular interaction with Regional/ Central Support Team on process enhancements/ recommending new checks & balances for specific locations.

Cross Functional (Outside Risk Management):

• Need based exchanges/ providing timely reverts to Audit/ Compliance & ORM on clarification sought if any
• Engage with Complaint Management Team for timely closure of complaints & ensure to financial/ reputational loss for the bank
• Exchange with Operations/ Customer Service/ Branch for resolution of customer query/ dispute within the assigned timeline
