Data Warehouse I Oracle Developer

➢ Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled resource with experience in working on Data Warehouse, Marts and other Data solutions with prior experience in Banking/Finance domain to join our CDAG (Central Data Analytics Group) team. This role is for working on the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solution being built for the bank as a single unified source for all reporting and analytics requirements. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in RDBMS(Oracle PL/SQL), Data Modeling, ETL concepts, and should also have basic functional understanding on Banking/Finance products. Along with hands-on experience in writing and understanding Oracle Data structures, PL/SQL Constructs, etc.; the candidate should also be experienced in query optimization activities. Exposure to Big Data and Hadoop environments is good to have in the candidate. Familiarity with IBM DataStage ETL tool is highly desirable.

 ➢ Key Responsibilities :

• Data Requirements & Modelling: o Partners with stakeholders, escalates concerns around data requirements and informs of the feasibility of the data needs, aligns project delivery and negotiates data agreements.

 • Data Model Design & Specification: to Analyzes complex data elements, source systems, data flows, dependencies, and relationships to contribute to conceptual, physical & logical data models. o Collaborates with other team members to come up with data/table designs.

 • Development & Maintenance: o Develops and maintains data warehousing solutions on the Oracle DB while leveraging the Exadata platform. o Develops and optimizes data structures like Table, Views, Materialized Views and PL/SQL constructs like procedures, functions, package, partitions & indexing. o Works closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. o Ensures data quality and integrity across various data sources and systems. o Collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance data warehouse performance and scalability.

 • Transformation & Integration : o Understands and implement data objects and ETL processes to support data integration and reporting requirements with other systems. o Work with other application teams to integrate data flows into their system i.e. Reporting system, Data Visualization, Data analytics platform, etc.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. • Maintain documentations of the Warehouse objects in the Knowledge catalogue system.

 • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in data warehousing and analytics.

• Good to be knowledgeable on : Leveraging Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, to manage and process large datasets. o Utilizing Python for data processing, automation, and integration tasks.

 • Qualifications : • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 6 to 7 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.

 • Strong knowledge of Oracle database and data warehousing concepts.

 • Proven experience in data modeling and ETL processes.

• In-depth understanding of the banking domain, with a focus on data-related aspects. • Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies, especially Hadoop.

 • Experience with IBM DataStage ETL tool is an added advantage.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

➢ Additional Skills Preferred : o Familiarity with other ETL tools and technologies. o Experience in data governance and data quality management. o Familiarity and some experience with Python programming. o Knowledge of additional programming languages and tools.
