Role Overview:
The Head of Investor Relations & Sales will be responsible for leading investor relations and sales efforts for the Portfolio Management Services (PMS) company. This role involves managing relationships with institutional investors, HNWIs, UHNIs, and family offices while driving sales strategies to expand the company's investor base and market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Investor Relations :
- Act as the primary point of contact for institutional investors, HNWIs, UHNIs, and family offices.
- Prepare and deliver periodic updates on fund performance, investment strategies, and market trends.
- Handle investor inquiries and maintain transparent communication to build trust and credibility.
- Monitor investor sentiment, market movements, and competitor activities to refine investor engagement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations and other industry best practices in investor communication and reporting.
Sales & Business Development :
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive asset growth across institutional and high-net-worth segments.
- Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve business objectives, client acquisition, and retention targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key investors, wealth managers, and investment advisors.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to enhance the firm's market reach.
- Collaborate with internal teams to structure and customize investment solutions based on client requirements.
Performance & Reporting :
- Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic goals.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on investor engagement, sales performance, and market trends.
- Work closely with portfolio managers and research teams to align sales and investor relations strategies with investment performance.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Sales, or Business Development, preferably within the Portfolio Management Services (PMS), Alternative Investment Funds (AIF), or Wealth Management industry.
- Strong track record in managing client relationships, fundraising, and business development.
- In-depth understanding of financial markets, portfolio management, and investment products.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with SEBI regulations governing PMS and investment products.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. MBA, CFA, or CA preferred.
