Database Testing Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Database Testing Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating database systems to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute tests to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of database systems.
• Develop complex SQL queries for data validation and verification.
• Perform load and stress testing to assess database performance under various conditions.
• Collaborate with developers, database administrators, and other QA team members to identify and resolve issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis of data discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure that database systems comply with data security and privacy regulations.
• Document and report defects, test results, and testing progress.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on database designs and implementations.
• Continuously improve and enhance testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in database testing or quality assurance.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with database testing tools (e.g., DbFit, QuerySurge, SQL Server Management Studio).
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of data security practices and regulations.
