Sr Associate / Manager - US Taxation (1040)

Job Description:

- Review all types of individual income tax returns.

- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency of tax technical knowledge.

- Manage the engagement team - Set performance measurements and ensure that performance goals, including engagement economics, turnaround time and quality targets are met.

- Identify and lead new services that the service line can perform at the VVN.

- Develop, mentor, and supervise Associates & Specialists.

- Demonstrate leadership and executive presence.

- Communicate progress and project status to all stakeholders.

- Knowledge of the firm policies related to confidentiality and data privacy, client acceptance and engagement letters, tax return preparer guidelines and knowledge-sharing.

- Adhere to practice protocol and other internal processes consistently

- Qualification: Commerce Graduate/Postgraduate, MBA

- Experience: 3-6 years in Canada and/or US Individual Taxation in a recognized firm or a Big4.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Needs to have strong technical knowledge to respond to assignees. - Strong technical knowledge & analytical thinking ability.

- Committed, hard-working, ability to work long hours, proactive.
