Leadership Hiring Opportunity: Agritech Sector- Western India
We are seeking a Business Head for a leading Agritech company, part of a major Indian conglomerate, based in Tier-2 cities in Western India.
Ideal candidates are current or former founders OR P&L Head/Business Head with a strong background in Agri-business or Commodity business in the rural sector.
A successful track record in P&L management and experience working directly with farmers as end clients are essential. We are looking for a dynamic individual with an entrepreneurial mindset and a deep passion for the agriculture industry.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and implement the overall vision, strategy, and long-term goals for the business.
- Drive the development and execution of comprehensive business plans, including product strategy,
- Market penetration, and operational efficiency.
- Lead, inspire, and manage a cross-functional team, management professionals, assistant lab managers, and sales personnel.
- Collaborate with team leaders to ensure all aspects of business operations are aligned with the company goals and vision.
- Identify market trends, opportunities, and potential risks, ensuring the company remains competitive and forward-thinking.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to support business growth.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and industry partners.
- Drive innovation in the company's offerings, ensuring that business stays at the forefront
- Represent the company in key industry forums, events, and client interactions to enhance brand visibility.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in science and,
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
Experience:
- 12-15 years of experience with 5+ years in business leadership, preferably in the agriculture, animal health, or biotechnology sectors.
- Proven track record in establishing or scaling new business lines or product lines, with a clear understanding of end-to-end strategy development and execution.
- Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop and implement both short-term and long-term plans.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to drive change and spearhead new initiatives.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead by example.
- Willingness to travel extensively in markets to engage with stakeholders and oversee operations firsthand.
