Lead Java Developer - Spring Boot/Apache Camel (10-20 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Lead - Java Developer with strong expertise in Apache Camel, Spring Boot, and RESTful Web Services. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of Java development experience, including 1+ year in a lead role, guiding teams in designing and delivering scalable back-end solutions. This is a 6+ months contract-to-hire role, with a hybrid work arrangement in Bengaluru or Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of back-end services using Java and Spring Boot.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and design.

- Develop and maintain integration solutions using Apache Camel, handling complex routing and transformation of messages.

- Build and implement RESTful Web Services to integrate with front-end applications and external services.

- Ensure high-quality code through regular code reviews, and foster a collaborative development environment.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to system performance, integrations, and scalability.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, adhering to project timelines and goals.

- Participate in the software development lifecycle, contributing to architecture, design discussions, and strategic decisions.

Required Experience & Technical Stack :

- 8+ years of experience as a Java Developer with hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel.

- 1+ year of experience in a Lead Developer role, overseeing teams or projects.

- Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful Web Services.

- Strong understanding of integration patterns, microservices, and distributed systems.

- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL alternatives.

- Proficiency with version control systems like Git.

Preferred Skills :

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerization practices.

- Experience in Agile project management and leading development sprints.

- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and messaging queues.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and guide teams effectively.
