ServiceNow Developer - Configuration Management (4-15 yrs)

Job Summary :

As a ServiceNow Developer with over 4 years of experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing tailored solutions on the ServiceNow platform. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you'll gather and interpret business requirements, write and maintain high-quality code, and ensure the performance and functionality of ServiceNow applications. Based in Bengaluru, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing our ServiceNow capabilities to support digital transformation and business needs.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Development & Customization :

- Create and maintain scripts such as Business Rules, Script Includes, and Client Scripts to enable application functionality.

- Integrate ServiceNow with other systems using REST, SOAP, or other APIs.

- Conduct regular maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and updates, to ensure system stability and performance

- Provide technical insights and support during requirements analysis and design phases.

- Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules in line with business needs.

Configuration & Maintenance :

- Configure platform components like forms, fields, workflows, and UI policies to meet business specifications.

Collaboration & Requirements Gathering :

- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and end-users to gather and document functional requirements.

Testing & Quality Assurance :

- Develop and implement test plans to ensure customization and integration functionality, -performance, and security.

- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, optimizing ServiceNow code as needed.

Documentation & Best Practices :

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as design specifications, implementation guides, and user manuals.

- Adhere to coding standards and best practices to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions.

Support & Training :

- Offer technical support and training for end-users and internal teams on ServiceNow functionalities and best practices.

- Contribute to the creation of training materials and user guides.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement :

- Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow releases and industry trends, suggesting and implementing relevant improvements.

- Participate in the ongoing enhancement of development processes and practices.

Qualifications :

Education & Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 4+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a solid understanding of ServiceNow capabilities and limitations.

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in ServiceNow development, including JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow scripting.

- Familiarity with ServiceNow components such as Service Catalog, Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management.

- Experience with integrations using REST, SOAP, or other web services.

- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and deployment practices.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.

Preferred :

- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or similar certifications.

- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.

- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Orchestration, and Performance Analytics.
