Senior Coordinator - Ethics and Compliance

Role Summary

The Ethics & Compliance Senior Specialist (“ECSS”) will be part of the Ethics & Compliance team at WSP. The role will be located in WSP India.  The ECSS will be supporting the Regional Ethics & Compliance Officer – Middle East (“MEECO”), based in Dubai.  The ECSS will be have a particular role in seconding the MEECO’s additional responsibilities for the Louis Berger operations of WSP, based in Gurgaon, India.  The ECSS will work daily alongside the rest of the E&C team based in WSP’s Noida/Bangalore offices, and remotely with the MEECO.  Occasional scopes of work in other regions, or in support of WSP’s global E&C program, may also be assigned from time to time based on E&C program need and structural evolution, and ECSS’ interests and skillset.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the MEECO in conducting and documenting Due Diligence on Third Parties (clients, partners, subcontractors, consultants and vendors, as well as occasional others such as corporate donation beneficiairies); designing appropriate mitigations to red flags in the findings; maintaining related registers and conducting occasional follow-up audits of the third parties, or the mitigations recommended to work with them.
• Supporting the MEECO in participation in the company’s Go-NoGo process of selection of project opportunities, including by conducting research on, preparing Project Integrity Reviews, and keeping related registers, databases and mitigation actions.
• Administering the Global and ME Ethics & Compliance Tools, such as:
  • Gifts, Entertainment and Hospitality Register
  • Personal COI Register
  • Organisational COI Registers
• Compiling program data for periodic reports, and supporting in the preparation of these reports to the LBI Management Committee, the Middle-East Executive Committee, the Middle-East Senior Leadership team, and the EMEIA Head and Chief Compliance Officers in the Global program. 
• Supporting anticorruption risk assessment activities and ongoing risk reviews, at the direction of the MEECO or EMEIA Head of E&C.
• Assisting in the design and delivery of Ethics awareness tools, from general Ethics Moments, Ethics Shares to other presentations, games and exercises at the direction of the MEECO. 
• Responding to intakes received from the LBI operations, including by conducting internal investigations, under the supervision and direction of the MEECO; supporting the MEECO in his/her internal investigations in the Middle-East.
• Providing other operational or administrative support functions at the request of the MEECO, or of the Global E&C program based on need and structural evolutions and anticipated growth.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience preferably in Quality Assurance, Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Procurement, Audit or Risk
• Significant experience in preparing written reports and documents in English
• Significant experience in conducting desk-top research
• High degree of comfort with using databases, designing reports from existing IT and data management systems
• Proven experience with Office 365 (majorly in MS Outlook, Word, Access and Excel); and with due diligence tools such as Dow Jones, Exiger or other similar tools.

• Demonstrated sound judgment and tact in preparing to advise, and advising, a multitude of stakeholders

• Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Other Notable requirements

• Strong English language skills, written and verbal, are essential.
• Occasional travel may be required for investigations, regional or functional meetings, or at the reasonable discretion of the MEECO.
