Senior CAD Technician - Electrical

Job Summary

As a Senior CAD Technician - Electrical, you will play a vital role in developing and managing CAD drawings and designs for electrical systems. You will work closely with our engineering and project management teams to ensure accuracy, compliance with relevant standards, and timely completion of project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and construction drawings using CAD software (ELCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

-Good understanding of Electrical schematics, control circuits, and protection systems

-Secondary engineering for substations related CAD deliverables
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Review and revise existing drawings and documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct quality control checks on CAD drawings before submission to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior CAD technicians and interns.
- Stay updated on the latest CAD technologies and industry trends to ensure the best practices are implemented.
- Participate in project meetings to provide technical insight and recommendations.
- Facilitate effective communication between multidisciplinary teams to resolve design-related issues.

Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical; Bachelors degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in CAD design, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and REVIT. ELCAD experience is preferred.
