Senior Engineer - Geotechnical

Type of experience:

• Knowledge of working with Eurocodes
• Knowledge of working with a contractor as your client
• Knowledge of the complexity regarding Scandinavian soil conditions and especially quick clay
• Experience from design of sheet pile constructions with associated steel details such as braces, punches, hammer bands, studs, welds, edge beams
• Experience from FEM-simulations using supporting structures
• Experience from design of different types of pile structures

Requirements:

You need to be able to answer a contractor’s question at Swedish work hours so flexibility regarding work hours to be available is key.

You need to have proved experience from working with Geotechnical design with Contractors in Design/build projects

You need to have very good communication skills in English both in speaking and writing.

You need to be able to prepare clear and detailed technical documentation.

You need to have strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.

You need to be able to adapt to new tools and technologies.

You need to have a proactive approach to continuing education and professional development.

You need to have strong analytical and problem skills. Demonstrating problem-solving skills by suggesting alternatives or improvements.

You need to have critical thinking. Before raising questions or getting to work, it's important to analyze the task instruction thoroughly. This involves understanding the objectives, identifying any potential issues or unclear aspects, and considering alternative approaches if necessary. This also means asking questions if unsure before committing to a task.

You need to have proved and medium to high level experience in the following computer programmes:

• Geosuite
• Conrad CPT Evaluation tool
• Autocad Civil 3D
• Revit
• Navisworks
• GeoStudio Slope/W
• Plaxis 2D and 3D
