Manager Indirect Taxation

Role & responsibilities

STRATEGY (direct ownership)

• Identify and implement opportunities for improving the company's overall Indirect Tax liability and cash flow •Investigating new Indirect tax laws/ developments and take appropriate actions •Ensure all tax compliance and reporting requirements are met in accordance with the statutory requirements to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with Indirect tax regulations

OPERATIONAL (direct ownership)

• Prepare / supervise preparation of GST Assessments/Service Tax Assessments submissions and replying to all the Pending notices and try getting Favorable orders. •Monitor Filing of Monthly GST Returns GSTR 1 and GSTR 3B before due date •Automation of GST Processes by integrating external tool related to E- Invoicing and E - Way bill with SAP •Partner with the Business to resolve tax queries quickly for smooth conduct of the business and ensure that new transactions are GST compliant •Communicating on the Regular updates under GST from the CBIC portal and training the business teams to draft replies to the departmental notices. •Ensure that the risk and other policies are being adhered to •Consolidate and review tax information from businesses Manage and oversee GST Audit GSTR 9 and GSTR 9C

Preferred candidate profile

Chartered Accountant (preferably). Other qualifications such as Cost Accountant, LLB, Diploma in Tax could also be considered
