Experience description

• Bachelors in environmental or chemical engineering with minimum 3 years' experience with AutoCAD & Simulation software.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in process design engineering in wastewater industry with initial Site experience.

• Providing process design engineering support on our state-of-the-art technologies (MBR, MBBR, SBR, A20, ASP, IFAS) at various phases of pre-tendering, bidding and post order detail engineering of Wastewater and sewage treatment plants in India Roles and responsibilities

• Learn and get a good understanding of the technology portfolio that we are delivering to our clients.

• Perform following Process Design engineering functions regarding Wastewater and Sewage Treatment facilities:

o Generate and conduct a detailed review of project specifications and design plans

o Prepare preliminary and final detailed process design based on our technology

o Select & Size equipment and hydraulic elements (e.g. pumps, blowers, valves, piping, weirs, channels, troughs, gates, flow-control valves, etc.)

• Prepare/perform process flow diagrams, mass balances, P&IDs, engineering reports, design proposals, kinetic and capacity modelling

• Onsite pilot testing & field work duties incl. system startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting

• Prepare and checking of detail drawings, including plot plans, general arrangement drawings, piping and instrumentation diagram, isometrics, hydraulic profile and fabrication drawings

• Ensure designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards

• Technical co-ordination with all disciplines related to engineering effort

• To be able to travel domestically and internationally, as required. The frequency and duration of travel will depend on project needs

• Propose and implement sustainable and cost-effective solutions for clients

• Conduct reviews of engineering calculations, designs, and deliverables

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and project requirements

Job Requirements

• Self-starter with abilities to multi-task and take on multiple projects at a time

• Self-educator with the ability to read, comprehend and apply technical knowledge obtained from literature review

• With proper support and exposure, having a short learning curve for technical aspects of a given technology is expected

• Experience with AutoCAD & Simulation software are essential for design / process engineering

• Knowledge of wastewater treatment technologies, including activated sludge MBR, MBBR, SBR, A20, ASP, IFAS, and advanced treatment methods

• Effective communication skills - verbal and written for internal (in-house) as well as with external correspondence with clients, consultants and End-Users / Govt Authorities

• High proficiency in English language is essential

• Ability to work in a global environment, with fair understanding & respect for other cultures

• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

• General knowledge of procedures & practices for executing projects in a global environment
