Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated OpenCart Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing, customizing, and optimizing OpenCart-based e-commerce solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly online shopping experiences. Your Role and Responsibilities

Development and Customization: Design, develop, and customize OpenCart-based e-commerce solutions, ensuring robust functionality and seamless user experience.

Module Integration: Integrate third-party modules, extensions, and APIs to enhance and expand OpenCart functionalities according to business needs.

Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve website speed, reliability, and overall performance, implementing best practices for OpenCart optimization.

Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to OpenCart functionality, plugins, extensions, and custom code.

UI/UX Enhancements: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to improve site aesthetics, usability, and conversion rates by implementing effective user-centric solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on development tasks, timelines, and project objectives.

Security Implementation: Apply security best practices to protect data and transactions, including regular software updates, security audits, and compliance with industry standards.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, customizations, and processes for future reference and for the development team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Proficiency in OpenCart Development: In-depth knowledge of OpenCart, including custom theme and module development, as well as version upgrades.
Strong Coding Skills: Expertise in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL. Knowledge of additional frameworks (such as jQuery or Bootstrap) is a plus.
API Integration: Experience with integrating third-party services and payment gateways using RESTful APIs and SOAP.
Database Management: Competency in MySQL database administration, including writing and optimizing complex queries and stored procedures.
Version Control Systems: Familiarity with version control tools, specifically Git, for collaborative and streamlined development.
E-Commerce Best Practices: Understanding of e-commerce trends, SEO, and performance optimization specific to online shopping platforms.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and issues.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualification & Experience Required

Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in OpenCart, PHP, or e-commerce development are an advantage.

Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience with OpenCart development, with a portfolio or case studies of past OpenCart projects.

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the e-commerce industry and its latest trends, particularly within OpenCart and other PHP-based CMS platforms.
