Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated WooCommerce Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and enhancing WooCommerce websites to deliver a seamless user experience and ensure optimal functionality. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality eCommerce solutions that align with business objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects and stay at the forefront of eCommerce technology.
Your Role and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain custom WooCommerce solutions, including themes and plugins, to support unique eCommerce requirements. Collaborate with designers to translate visual concepts into functional WooCommerce themes and improve website aesthetics and user interface. Optimize WooCommerce performance for faster load times, seamless functionality, and better user experience. Integrate WooCommerce with third-party services, including payment gateways, CRM systems, and shipping providers, ensuring all integrations function correctly and securely. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues related to WooCommerce, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in WooCommerce and eCommerce development, recommending and implementing improvements as needed. Provide technical support to other team members, offering guidance and mentorship when required. Ensure all development work adheres to the highest security standards and follows best practices in coding and testing.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise Proficiency in WooCommerce and WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development. Strong knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks. Experience with PHP and MySQL, particularly in a WooCommerce environment. Familiarity with version control systems (Git preferred). Ability to integrate third-party APIs and troubleshoot integration issues. Solid understanding of SEO principles, including on-page SEO and eCommerce-specific optimizations. Experience with performance optimization techniques in WooCommerce, including caching and image optimization. Familiarity with debugging tools such as Chrome Developer Tools. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, presenting ideas, and documenting work.
Qualification & Experience Required Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). A minimum of 3+ years of experience in WooCommerce and WordPress development. Proven track record of developing custom WooCommerce themes and plugins for eCommerce sites. Experience in eCommerce or online retail industry is a plus. Portfolio or examples of previous WooCommerce projects highly preferred.
