Contractual Role
Job Summary :
An SAP HCM US Payroll Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) module, specifically the Payroll component for US-based clients.
Responsibilities :
System Implementation & Configuration :
- Lead and participate in SAP HCM US Payroll implementations and configuration.
- Configure the SAP Payroll module based on client-specific business processes and requirements.
- Assist in identifying gaps in business processes and suggest solutions.
- Coordinate and manage payroll project tasks from inception to completion.
Support & Troubleshooting :
- Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for SAP HCM US Payroll issues.
- Resolve payroll issues related to taxation, deductions, benefits, and reporting.
- Test and implement system changes and upgrades to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Documentation & Reporting :
- Create documentation, including process flows, test scripts, and user guides for SAP HCM US Payroll
processes.
- Develop and execute test cases for new functionality or bug fixes.
- Prepare and support system audits, reviews, and reporting requirements for US Payroll.
Collaboration :
- Work closely with clients to understand payroll processing needs and develop effective solutions.
- Interface with other functional teams such as Benefits, Time Management, and Security to integrate SAP Payroll with other HCM modules.
- Collaborate with technical teams for system enhancements and custom development as needed.
Training & Knowledge Sharing :
- Train end-users on SAP Payroll processes, configuration, and system navigation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations, including federal, state, and local tax requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members.
Technical Skills :
- Strong expertise in SAP HCM Payroll (US Payroll) configuration and support.
- In-depth knowledge of BSI Tax Factory and TUFS integration, configuration, and updates.
- Experience with SAP Time Management, schemas, and payroll rules.
- Familiarity with integration of SAP Payroll with third-party systems and other tools.
Functional Skills :
- Comprehensive understanding of US payroll processes, taxation regulations, and compliance.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, including garnishments, FICA, FUTA, SUTA, etc.
- Experience handling payroll audits, year-end activities (W-2, W-4), and reconciliations.
