Senior Test Automation Engineer

Main Activities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Automation Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in automation testing, with deep expertise in Java, Selenium, and Node.js. As a Lead Automation Tester, you will be responsible for leading the automation testing efforts, mentoring junior testers, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

• Provide direct input into developing automation strategy / plans / approaches.
• Hands on scripting / development and uplift of automation suites
• Identify gaps and issues with current tech stack and make recommendations for tooling, environments, and data.
• Closely work with the squad to drive and continuously refine the Test Automation operating model.
• Be the owner of the automation framework and coordinate with the release team to ensure the regression suite will eliminate any manual regression testing effort.
• Implement solutions for maintenance, enhancement and uplift of new and existing processes and automation assets.
• Build Test Automation reports at the end of each phase and analyse the failures in the report.
• Providing automation testing advice and assists other team members with automated test issues.
• Helping establish and encourage development practices conducive to test automation.
• Coordinate with PO & Release Lead to plan project delivery to ensure automation suites are updated to account for release changes.

Mandatory:

• Experience in test automation tools based on Java and JavaScript (Node.js).
• In-depth knowledge of Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience in other test automation framework Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit.
• Experience in working with Github, CICD
• APIs and related concepts (RestAPI, OAuth, Postman etc)
• Good exposure to DevOps tools like Codefresh, Artifactory, Git, Jenkins etc.
• Strong test fundamentals like test planning, defect management and test closure
• Strong Agile experience (Jira, Confluence, Xray) and engineering mindset
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills are essential
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to propose new solutions.
• Able to learn new tech stack based on current market trend.

Nice to have:

• Banking experience desirable
• Good exposure in containerising applications with Docker
