We are seeking an organized, efficient, and communicative AVP candidate for Permitting / Regulatory Compliance in Mumbai- Pune Region. Candidate will be a Part of Corporate Relations team and is responsible for a regulatory / permitting compliance including procuring various permits / approvals / licenses for all Construction Projects as well as to support in real asset.
Due diligence proactively to enable regulatory compliances and avoids reputational damages and enables business growth and sustenance.

Reports to: Director - Development Management
Location: Mumbai
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the compliance process for all construction project licenses and permits.
- Manage teams to implement compliance standards and controls.
- Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of all required permits at central, state, and municipal levels.
- Work directly with government officials (SRA, MMRDA, MAHADA, RERA) to secure necessary permits.
- Oversee knowledge management and collaborate with legal teams.
- Develop and implement strategies for timely procurement and renewal of permits.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in real estate development.
- Experience working with government agencies and local authorities.
- Technical knowledge of planning, building, fire, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent program management and communication skills.
- Experience managing permits across the entire project cycle.
- Proficiency in MS Office (AutoCAD is a plus).
Key Success Factors:
- Strong business understanding, especially in large real estate acquisitions and high-rise developments across various sectors (IT/ITeS, Hi-Tech, Industrial, SEZ, Commercial, and mixed-use).
- Expertise in end-to-end permitting and regulatory compliance processes.
- Established relationships with local, city, state, and central authorities.
- Proven experience liaising with government bodies (Local, State, Central).
- Technical knowledge of planning, building, environmental, fire, and aviation regulations; ability to interpret technical and services drawings.
- Commercial acumen in managing partnerships, consultants, contractors, and conducting risk assessments.
- Strong program management skills, including training/certifications in permit/compliance management.
- Legal expertise in statutory approvals and regulatory requirements.
- Financial expertise in contract/budget management, forecasting, and executing contract variations.
- Proactive tracking of compliance across project clearances, permits, and approvals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to government and public audiences.
