Role Title: Team Lead QA/QC
Reporting to: Project Manager, WEL

Purpose:

To be responsible for all QA/QC related matters with regard to the implementation of the work requirements of the Project.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinating the documentation, including planning, reviewing and updating of the Project Management Plan and other documentation required for the implementation of the QA&E Systems in the Project.
2. Assist the Project Manager in determining the quality and environmental objectives and targets for the Project.
3. Monitoring the implementation of the quality and environmental aspects of the Project Management System.
4. Coordination and maintaining an actual and potential quality and environmental nonconformance control system including the issuing of nonconformance reports to the Project Manager and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and effective.
5. Control further activities until a quality or environmental deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
6. Ensuring that Project staff understand and carry out their responsibilities detailed in the Project Management Plan.
7. Ensuring that the responsibilities regarding quality and environmental requirements are properly defined in purchase orders and sub-contracts.
8. Liaising with the representative of the client with respect to quality acceptance criteria.
9. Verifying inspection and testing activities being carried out by site supervisors, sub-contractors and suppliers.
10. Establishing and maintaining a system for the storage of quality assurance records and the associated updating of registers.
11. Manage the activities of QA Engineers and providing active supervision and support to them in carrying out their duties.
12. Auditing and reporting on Project compliance, which includes assessing sub-contractors/ suppliers for compliance with contract quality and environmental requirements.
13. Report to the Head Office on quality and environmental performance of the project in accordance with regional procedures.

Key Result Areas and Performance Indicators:

1 . To liaise with construction team to ensure all inspection and testing requirements are fulfilled and work quality is achieved in order to meet client’s requirement as per the contract.

2.To liaise with client's representative on site to ensure all inspection and testing requirements are fulfilled and complete work quality is achieved in order to meet client's requirement as per the contract.

• Client's approval on work completed for each work phase.

3. To ensure all records are completed and compiled for submission to client with regards to completed work quality in order to meet client's requirement as per the contract.

• Delay in project completion, i.e. payment, issuance of certificate of completion

4. To liaise with construction team to ensure quality of products/supplies/services by sub-contractors meet the specified requirement at source with regard to completed work quality in order to meet client's requirement as per the contract.

5. To assist Project Manager to coordinate the implementation of the project quality plan in order to meet the company's internal policies and certification to international standard

• No major non-conformance to the required standards

6. To carry out and schedule at random inspections of the works in order to ensure compliance with inspection and test plans.

7. To advice Quality Assurance Engineer to collect, collate, analyze and report on project specifications in order to ensure product and method compliance.
