Senior Architect

Role Description
The Senior Architect is responsible for reviewing design submissions, BOQs, and tender documents from consultants, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing timely feedback during the tendering stage. The role involves supporting liaison consultants with GFA designs for statutory approvals and ensuring adherence to DCR, project configuration, and other regulations. Additionally, the Senior Architect is expected to imbibe principles of value engineering in designs, BOQs, and tender documents, working closely with contractors and external consultants to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Essential Accountabilities - Key responsibilities

Review of Design, BOQ, and Tender Documents :
Evaluate and provide timely feedback on design submissions, BOQs, and tender documents received from consultants.

Support for Statutory Approvals :
Assist liaison consultants in obtaining statutory approvals by ensuring
GFA3 designs comply with regulatory requirements such as DCR4 and
project configurations.

Value Engineering Integration :
Incorporate value engineering principles into designs, BOQs, and
tender documents to enhance cost efficiency and project optimization.

Compliance with Regulations and Standards :
Ensure all designs and documents meet WOLP specifications, IS
codes, and relevant local or regional regulations.

% Adherence to pre-defined TAT for provision of design.

Regulatory Compliance Rate

Educational Requirement and Work Experience
Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) - Mandatory
(Recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA), India)
Masters Degree in Architecture (M.Arch), Urban Planning, or a related field. Preferred but not
mandatory.

Years of experience: 12-15 years

Work Experience Requirements:
Total 12-15 years of experience in architectural design, project execution, and construction
management.
Experience in working on large land parcels above 30 acres from planning to execution.
Experience in handling master planning, infrastructure developments, steel structures and
MEPF of large developments.

Experience in Reviewing Designs & Tender Documents: Minimum 5+ years of experience in
reviewing BOQs, tender documents, and architectural drawings.

Statutory Approvals & Compliance: Hands-on experience with local building codes, DCR
(Development Control Regulations), IS codes, and municipal approval processes.

Value Engineering & Cost Optimization: Experience in implementing value engineering
principles to optimize designs, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

Liaison & Coordination: Proven experience in working with government authorities,
consultants, and contractors for statutory approvals.

Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), SketchUp, and other architectural
software is preferred.

Sector-Specific Experience: Experience in warehousing, commercial, residential, industrial, or
infrastructure projects.
