Evaluate on-site facility and prepare technical reports and interpret applicable codes for
compliance.
Lead design and construction projects from start to finish. Involves working directly with architects and clients to turn their concepts into functional structures.
Perform special functions and assignments related to the architectural discipline, as requested.
Stamp engineering documents as/when required. Assist estimating the development of estimates.
Able to maintain a log of all revisions to standard drawings and specifications and manage the file containing current specifications and logs of all proposed changes to the standard documents.
Preparing and developing drawings, models, images and other documents relating to the design
Rendering skills using a variety of 3D modeling software. Producing project related correspondence and reports.
Considering budget, safety and community requirements for a project. Creating new building designs.
Advising on the restoration and conservation of existing buildings. Ensuring building regulations, planning laws and environmental considerations are met.
Drawing detailed plans and blueprints using computer design programs. Working closely with contractors, engineers, surveyors, lawyers and planning departments.
Inspecting structures during the build, to make sure they meet requirements.
Supervising other architects throughout each phase of a buildings design and construction
Ensuring jobs are completed on time and to budget.
Working in an office, with occasional or frequent site visits and meetings. Working directly with other professionals with supervision. Creating building designs using computer-aided design software.
Managing contract bids and tenders. Deciding which building materials are needed. Checking construction plans for potential design issues.
Identifying any environmental or legal issues.Liaising with surveyors, clients, architects and construction workers.
Helping to apply for planning permission. Visiting sites to check on the progress or any issues that might arise.
Performing risk assessments and assigning work to the rest of the design team.
Preferred candidate profile
Minimum 8+ years of experience as chartered Architect.
Bachelor or master degree in architecture field from a recognized University (B.Arch). Must have secured frist class if not will not be considered.
Excellent command English both written and spoken.
The ability to manage a heavy workload, with close attention to detail.
