Gst Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• GST Return Preparation & Filing: Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) in compliance with regulatory deadlines and requirements.
• Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of GST-related records, including sales, purchases, input/output tax credit, and liabilities, to ensure consistency with accounting records.
• Client Support & Advisory: Address client queries regarding GST, providing accurate and timely responses. Offer guidance on GST rules, rates, exemptions, and filings.
• Compliance Monitoring: Track and monitor changes in GST laws, regulations, and practices. Ensure that clients are updated with the latest compliance requirements and support them in making necessary adjustments.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of GST returns and reports. Prepare periodic reports for internal teams and clients to highlight any discrepancies or issues with filings.
• Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Finance, Legal, Accounting) to ensure seamless GST processes across the organization.

• Key Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in GST compliance, analysis, and reporting. Prior experience in handling GST for clients or working with GST-related software is a plus.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of GST laws, processes, returns, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with GST regulations across different states (if applicable) is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using GST filing software, accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP), and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of tax automation tools is an advantage.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain complex GST-related issues clearly and concisely to clients and internal teams.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve discrepancies, optimize processes, and improve compliance.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification or training in GST or related tax fields.
