Job Description
The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive solutions that align with the business requirements and technical standards of the company. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, defining the overall structure of the solution, and ensuring that it integrates seamlessly with existing systems. The Solution Architect will play a critical role in driving innovation and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of the companys technology solutions.
Responsibilities
1. Solution Design:
Requirements - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Develop detailed solution architectures that meet business needs and align with technical standards.
- Create architectural blueprints and design documents.
2. Technology Evaluation and Selection: - Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks to implement solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.
3. Integration and Implementation: - Ensure that solutions are integrated seamlessly with existing systems and infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight during the implementation phase.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
4. Collaboration and Communication: - Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Facilitate architecture and design reviews.
5. Quality Assurance and Performance: - Define and enforce standards for code quality, performance, and security.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization to ensure solutions meet performance requirements.
- Ensure robust testing and validation of solutions before deployment.
6. Documentation and Compliance: - Maintain comprehensive documentation of solution architectures and design decisions.
- Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure ongoing compliance and relevance.
7. Mentorship and Leadership: - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and development teams.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the technology team.
- Lead architectural discussions and decision-making processes.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
- Professional certification (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a solution architecture role.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale, complex solutions.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
