Senior Devops Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our infrastructure, with a focus on Linux systems, automation, security, and cloud-based solutions. You will collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth operations, rapid deployment cycles, and strong security practices. Key Responsibilities:

• Linux System Administration: Manage and maintain Linux-based servers, with a preference for RHEL, CentOS, and AlmaLinux.
• Automation & Configuration Management: Use tools like Ansible to automate system configurations, deployments, and maintenance tasks.
• Web Servers: Configure and optimize nginx for high-performance web applications.
• Virtualization: Manage and optimize virtualization platforms such as VMWare or Proxmox to improve efficiency and scalability of our infrastructure.
• Security Best Practices: Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, WAF (Web Application Firewalls), and best practices for securing the infrastructure.
• CDN Management: Utilize Cloudflare (or equivalent CDN solutions) for optimizing performance, securing web traffic, and reducing latency.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments and optimal performance.
• Organization: Maintain a well-organized workflow, schedule meetings and deadlines, track tasks on calendars, send follow-up emails, and address ongoing issues promptly.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience: 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, or a related field.
• Linux Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Linux systems, especially RHEL, CentOS, and AlmaLinux.
• Automation with Ansible: Proven experience in using Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Web Server Configuration: Hands-on experience with nginx in a production environment.
• Virtualization Platforms: Experience managing virtualized environments with VMWare or Proxmox.
• Security Knowledge: Solid understanding of security concepts such as firewalls, WAFs, and best security practices for infrastructure.
• CDN Experience: Familiarity with Cloudflare or any similar CDN solutions.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to document, communicate, and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Organized & Reliable: Highly organized and proactive, with an ability to follow through on tasks and issues.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in configuring and maintaining other web server technologies.
• Knowledge of additional CDN services.
• Familiarity with other virtualization technologies or cloud platforms.
