Deputy Manager - Assembly - Injection Moulding

Key Responsibilities

1. Resource Optimization:
• Efficiently apply people and resources to meet delivery requirements, ensuring quality and safety standards.
2. Process Compliance and Improvement:
• Ensure team adherence to assembly procedures, quality requirements, and 5S practices.
• Identify areas of improvement and recommend process/equipment modifications for enhanced operational efficiency.
3. Production Management:
• Achieve production throughput against capacity targets.
• Manage work order closures and stock control transactions.
• Collaborate with Production Scheduling to determine shift production schedules.
4. Team Development:
• Supervise, train, and motivate the production team for optimal performance.
• Maintain and update records, including training matrices and risk assessments.
5. Cost Management:
• Understand production costs, including waste, downtime, scrap, and rework.
• Implement cost-saving measures and modifications to reduce production costs.
6. Incident Management:
• Conduct investigations for incidents, accidents, and non-conformities.
• Report and close actions associated with these investigations.
7. Risk and Safety Management:
• Conduct risk assessments to define controls for team activities.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and ISO14001 standards.
8. Cross-Department Collaboration:
• Liaise with other departments to maintain effective communication and interface.

Skills Required

1. Experience:
• Minimum of 7 years in a similar role within production or manufacturing operations.
2. Technical Proficiency:
• Strong PC skills with experience in SAP PP module.
3. Collaboration and Leadership:
• Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve goals.
4. Health & Safety Knowledge:
• Familiarity with Health & Safety legislation and ISO14001 standards.
