Lab Assistant Cable and Wire Industry

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and execution of laboratory tests on raw materials and finished products (wires, cables, etc.)
• Conduct physical, mechanical, and chemical tests on cable and wire samples to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Record and analyze test results, documenting findings in lab reports.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accuracy and proper functioning.
• Support the R&D team in experiments related to new products and processes.
• Prepare and organize lab materials, chemicals, and equipment for daily testing activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of testing procedures to improve product quality and performance.
• Quality checking after production work completion.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent in a technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, B.Sc.).
• Previous experience in cables and wires industry.
• Familiarity with testing equipment and lab protocols.
• Basic knowledge of type test of cables and Indian Standards of Cables.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
