About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production L2 Support Engineer to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing critical support for our production environment, ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted operation of our applications.
You will play a key role in identifying and resolving technical issues, proactively monitoring system health, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities :
Production L2 Support :
- Actively monitor application logs in real-time using various tools.
- Proactively identify and investigate potential issues based on log analysis.
- Perform in-depth analysis of database queries (MySQL and PostgreSQL) to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
Incident Management :
- Respond promptly to incidents escalated by L1 support.
- Conduct thorough debugging and root cause analysis of reported issues.
- Implement effective solutions and workarounds to minimize service disruptions.
- Document incident resolution steps and knowledge base articles for future reference.
System Monitoring :
- Conduct daily system health checks and proactively address any anomalies.
- Utilize monitoring tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Implement proactive measures to prevent and mitigate potential issues.
Technical Skills :
- Strong proficiency in accessing and navigating Linux server environments.
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (MySQL and PostgreSQL), including query optimization and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with API testing and debugging using tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools like Metabase and Elasticsearch.
Requirements :
Experience : 4-6 years of relevant experience in production support, application support, or a related field.
Essential Skills :
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team.
- Strong proficiency in accessing and navigating Linux server environments.
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (MySQL and PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on experience with API testing and debugging using tools like Postman.
- Excellent understanding of collaboration tools and workflows.
- Proficiency in using Jira for issue tracking and project management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Skills :
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
