Key Responsibilities :
Technical Leadership :
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of QA engineers in delivering high-quality software testing services.
- Define testing strategies, processes, and tools tailored for automotive software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system engineers, and project managers, to align testing efforts with project goals.
Test Planning and Execution :
- Develop comprehensive test plans and cases based on functional and technical requirements.
- Oversee and participate in manual and automated testing activities, including system, integration, and regression testing.
- Ensure testing covers critical aspects like performance, functionality, reliability, and compliance with automotive standards.
Quality Assurance :
- Establish and enforce QA best practices to improve the testing lifecycle.
- Track, manage, and analyze defect trends, driving continuous improvements in product quality.
- Work with development teams to define and implement quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
Domain-Specific Responsibilities :
- Validate automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Test embedded systems, ECUs (Electronic Control Units), and HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) functionalities.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ASPICE, and AUTOSAR.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Act as a single point of contact for testing deliverables, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to understand and address quality expectations.
Required Skills and Experience :
Technical Expertise :
- Strong experience in testing automotive software systems, including embedded systems and ECUs.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks like VectorCAST, dSPACE, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet) and diagnostic tools (CANoe, CANalyzer).
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, CAPL, or C/C++.
- Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing environments.
Experience :
- 6-8 years of experience in automotive software testing with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of ISO 26262, ASPICE, and other automotive industry standards.
- Proven track record of leading testing initiatives in an agile environment.
Soft Skills :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration and team mentorship.
- Proactive approach to identifying risks and ensuring quality deliverables.
Educational Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Certifications in ISTQB, ISO 26262, or other relevant areas.
- Experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) or autonomous vehicle testing.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and their implications in automotive software
